Rooted and Restored: A Day of Forest Immersion
Trade the blue light for dapple light. In a world that demands we stay “plugged in,” it’s easy to lose track of our own rhythm. Rooted & Restored is an invitation to put your phone on silent, leave the pavement behind, and reconnect with the quiet intelligence of the woods. This isn’t just a walk in the park—it’s a sensory reset designed to lower your cortisol and lift your spirit.
The Experience
We’ve curated a flow that guides you from the busyness of daily life into a state of deep, natural calm:
Forest Bathing : Forget “hiking” for distance. We move slowly, using mindfulness prompts to engage all five senses. You’ll notice the scent of damp earth, the fracture of light through the canopy, and the subtle textures of the forest floor.
The Campfire Circle: There’s something primal and soothing about a crackling fire. We’ll gather around the hearth to share stories, practice grounding breathwork, or simply enjoy the companionable silence.
Natural Teas: Sip on restorative blends brewed right over the fire. From earthy nettle and pine needle to calming chamomile and wild mint, our teas are selected to complement the season and nourish your body from the inside out.
Why You Should Join Us
Nature isn’t just a backdrop; it’s a co-facilitator in your well-being. Research shows that just two hours of “forest bathing” can significantly boost your immune system and reduce heart rate variability. For more information about why woods are good for us check out the Woodland Trusts page about it.
What to bring: Comfortable layers, sturdy boots, and an open mind.
What we provide: locally foraged tea, expert guidance, and a much-needed break from the “real” world.
“There is no Wi-Fi in the forest, but I promise you will find a better connection,” Ralph Smart
