Footballers’ comments…

A big thank you to the team at Clifton College for hosting a fantastic summer football tournament. The summer league has a great reputation across Bristol and it’s easy to see why. This was our first entry as a team and we will definitely be signing up for next year – the league is extremely well run, online results, table, blog and the officials were excellent throughout. The facilities up at Clifton College Sports ground are first class, all 4 pitches used by the league are well maintained / marked out. Finally, with many of the same teams returning year after year there is a friendly (yet competitive) feel to all the games we played which is nice to see – Looking forward to summer 2014 now!

Since playing in the leagues at Clifton College Sports Ground, I have now decided to retire from 11-a-side football as the leagues there are a lot less stressful and it is a lot easier to get a team together when you only have to find 8 players (but I hate playing at goals)!

I got invited to play in the summer league for a mates team to make up the numbers and I have to say it was brilliant and there was great banter from all teams not to mention great competition.  I really enjoyed my time playing and as a result I will be putting a team together and entering the winter league.
