PLEASE DOWNLOAD THE EASTER REVISION COURSES APPLICATION FORM HERE

The Easter Revision Courses aim to provide a stimulating working environment for healthy examination preparation. To achieve this, and for the welfare of all pupils and staff, the following guidelines have been kept to an absolute minimum and will be strictly adhered to:

  • All registrations must be accompanied by fully completed application form and £250.00 PER SUBJECT non-refundable deposit. Upon receipt, the booking will be officially confirmed to you via e-mail
  • Full fees of the course must be paid in advance of tuition, no later than 2 weeks prior to the course beginning
  • Late applications will be considered only if there are unfilled places on the course
  • We reserve the right to cancel any course if under-subscribed. In such circumstances, the student may elect to study an alternative course (if places are available) or obtain a full refund of fees paid. We will always attempt to do this with as much notice as possible. Under no other circumstances whatsoever will fees be refunded
  • We will, where possible, inform all parents & students regarding the timetabling of the various subjects, at least 2 weeks prior to the courses beginning. This process is a delicate balancing act of accommodating as many student choices as possible, and as such we like to make sure we have all information 100% correct
  • We make every effort to match tuition with individual needs, but students must realise that a revision course, however intensive, cannot be expected to cover all aspects of all specifications. Some courses are not designed to be board-specific; these courses aim to cover core material only for that subject
  • Clifton College shall not be liable for loss or damage to personal property or injury to persons however caused, other than that where negligence on the part of Clifton College is proved
  • Drugs and alcoholic beverages may not be brought onto or consumed within the boarding houses or any other part of the College campus. Failure to abide by this rule will result in immediate withdrawal
  • Clifton College has a no smoking policy throughout its entire buildings and grounds
  • Clifton College reserves the right to request the withdrawal of a student for any behaviour which might be considered detrimental to the smooth running of the course, or which might interfere with the studies of other students. Any refund of fees will be at the sole discretion of the Course Director
  • Parents or guardians will accept full liability for any damage to property caused by malice or neglect
  • The Clifton College Medical Centre will be closed for the duration of the course, but our nursing staff will be on call for all emergencies 24 hours a day. We ask for full medical details on our application form, including current medication and any issues the medical staff should know about. By signing the ‘Parental Approval’ section on the application form, you consent to the student receiving any medical care required during their stay at the College, whether from our medical staff, the local doctors or hospital. You shall of course be informed immediately should this need arise
  • Any student who needs to leave the College campus at any time for any reason during the course must obtain permission from the Course Director. For residential students, permission must be obtained from the House Staff
  • No residential student may be out of the Boarding House after the evening registration
  • No students may invite guests onto the College site at any time during the course. Please make it clear to your son or daughter that we do not welcome visits from friends who are not on the course – we are then faced with the introduction of cars and people about whom we know nothing
  • It is very helpful to the college to be able to use student photographs or names for marketing purposes. Any student or parent who wishes to withhold permission should contact the college in writing
  • If your son or daughter is to be a resident on the course, it would be helpful if they were dropped off by you at the start of the course so that they do not have access to a car. If that is not possible, and your son/daughter’s car is to remain at Clifton College for the duration of the course, we require that the keys are handed in to the pupil’s Housemaster/mistress, and that the car is only used with specific permission
  • Under no circumstances will a car be allowed to be used to visit a location outside Clifton after evening lessons
  • If it is necessary for your son/daughter to commute to school as a day pupil, the car may be parked in any of the adjoining roads to the College. The car must remain parked for the day and must not to be used to shuttle back and forth around the College
